New Vacancies at MUST University October 2026, Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a result of the transformation of the Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) through the Universities Act No.7 (2005) and the Mbeya University of Science and Technology Charter of 2013.
The Vision of the University is to become the leading Centre of excellence for knowledge, skills and applied education in science and technology.
Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) invites dynamic and suitable qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts;
1.1 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (AQUATIC SCIENCE AND AQUACULTURE TECHNOLOGY) – 1 POST
1.1.1 Duty Station: Main Campus
1.1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
i. To understudy senior members, including attending lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical training;
ii. To conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
iii. To assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities; and
iv. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
1.1.3 Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Sciences and Aquaculture Technologies, Aquaculture, Aquatic Science, Fisheries, Marine Science with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized University.
1.1.4 Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
1.2 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (HEALTH INFORMATION SCIENCE) – 1 POST
1.2.1 Duty Station: Main Campus
1.2.2 Duties and responsibilities
i. To understudy senior members, including attending lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical training;
ii. To conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
iii. To assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities; and
iv. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
1.2.3 Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Health Information Systems with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized University.
1.2.4 Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
1.3 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (INTERIOR DESIGN) – 2 POSTS
1.3.1 Duty Station: Main Campus
1.3.2 Duties and responsibilities
i. To understudy senior members, including attending lectures and seminars, tutorials and practical training;
ii. To conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
iii. To assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities; and
iv. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
1.3.3 Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Interior Design Technology, Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, or Bachelor of Interior Architecture with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized University.
1.3.4 Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
1.4 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (INCLUSIVE EDUCATION) – 1 POST
1.4.1 Duty Station: Main Campus
1.4.2 Duties and responsibilities
i. To understudy senior members, including attending lectures and seminars, tutorials and practical training;
ii. To conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals;
iii. To assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities; and
iv. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
1.4.3 Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor of Education in Special Needs, and Inclusive Education with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized University.
1.4.4 Remuneration: PUTS 1.1

(x) Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
(xi) Certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and the National Council for Technical Education (NACTVET);
(xii) Certificates from foreign Universities should bear a GPA calculated (out of five (5) grade points) by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU);
(xiii) A signed application letter should be written either in Swahili or English and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Mbeya University of Science and Technology, P.O. Box 131 – Mbeya and uploaded in the

(xiv) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of interview;
