ICT OFFICER II – SYSTEM ANALYSIS
Duties and Responsibilities
- To define system and software application requirements; ii.
- To identify system platform, components and dependencies;
- To examine software to ensure quality, reliability, and system security;
- To identify and design solution to meet user requirements;
- To assist in conducting user acceptance test;
- To establish detailed program specification through discussion with system end users;
- To perform systems testing (Software validation & verification) and document test results;
- To participate in design review and provide input for user documentation;
- To assist in capturing user requirements (Customer Requirement Specifications);
- To support staff in training and supporting end users;
- To coordinate systems users and system developers; and
- To perform any other duty as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of a Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Engineering from recognized Institution.
ICT OFFICER II – APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
Duties and Responsibilities
- To design interactive applications based on deployment platform (e.g. web, mobile etc.);
- To prepare functional and non-functional technical specifications;
- To break down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming or scripting language;
- To undertake coding, testing, debugging and installation of application programmes;
- To configure appropriate application servers based on installed application program;
- To prepare program documentation;
- To develop installation and upgrade guidelines as well as computer systems configurations;
- To provide support to system users for effective utilization of deployed systems;
- To assist in Troubleshooting and resolving routine software applications problems; and
- To perform any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of a Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Engineering from recognized Institution.
RECEPTIONIST II
Duties and Responsibilities
- To receive and manage the front desk visitors;
- To keep visitors, register book;
- To receive and channel incoming telephone calls and internal telephone requests;
- To operate and maintain Switchboard;
- To direct office visitors to the officers in question;
- To Keep telephone call register;
- To maintain internal and external Telephone Directory;
- To ensure that the visitors have appointment and get go ahead from the respective officer/staff; and
- To carry out other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of Form IV certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili and who passed Certificate in Telephone Operation or Reception or Front Office Management or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
INSURANCE OFFICER II (GENERAL INSURANCE)
Duties and Responsibilities
- To receive and process applications for registration and renewal of registration certificates;
- To collect and tabulate statistical data on registration of players;
- To analyse applications for registration and renewals for intermediaries and other service providers in line with prescribed requirements;
- To study and analyze new insurance products to be offered in the market;
- To attend to enquiries from the public or insurance players relating to registration requirements and other related insurance matters;
- To participate in regular inspections; and
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of a Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Insurance, Risk Management Insurance and Risk Management, from a recognized Institution.
ACTUARIAL OFFICER II
Duties and Responsibilities
- i.   To design and maintain a suitable industry-wide database on various actuarial parameters;
- ii.   To carry out actuarial data-mining;
- iii.   To collect and analyse actuarial data;
- iv.   To carry out actuarial investigations on insurers; and
- v.   To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
Holder of a Degree in Actuarial Science from a recognized institution.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age. However, for vacancies within Paramilitary Institutions:
Applicants for non-degree posts must not exceed 25 years of age.
Applicants for degree posts must not exceed 30 years of age.

Regulatory Bodies (where applicable);

4. Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted:
Form IV and Form VI results slips;
Testimonials and all partial transcripts.
5. An applicant must upload a recent Passport Size Photo in the Recruitment Portal.
6. Applicants employed in the Public Service are strictly not allowed to apply; they should adhere to Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 of 30th November, 2010.
7. An applicant who is retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.
8. An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.
9. All foreign academic certificates MUST be recognised by relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET). Applicants applying for posts with a GPA requirement
MUST attach their GPA calculation certificate from TCU.
