Job Vacancies at Mkombozi Commercial Bank October 2026, Mkombozi Commercial Bank PLC (MKCB) started as an initiative of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference in 2009 to establish a Commercial Bank with the main objective of serving and supporting the emerging Tanzanian businesses for provision of financial services.

MKCB target markets are small and medium sized entrepreneurs, companies, SACCOS, intitutions such as schools, universities, hospitals and corporations. MKCB serves the need of growing companies, middle-market and large corporations, institutional investors, financial institutions and Government entities.

MCKB has 12 branches and more than 500 agents across Tanzania, currently our branches we are available in 8 Regions; Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Moshi, Bukoba, Morogoro, Dodoma, Iringa, Njombe and Arusha.

Position: Compliance Officer

Mkombozi Commercial Bank is hiring a Compliance Officer.

The Officer will report to the Head of Risk and Compliance. The Incumbent shall be responsible in developing and implementing a risk-based compliance monitoring program, identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting all material compliance risks.

Principal duties and responsibilities

Maintain the regulatory correspondence tracker and follow up on timely responses and submissions.
Coordinate timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns and reports.
Monitor compliance with AML/CFT/CPF requirements, including customer screening and transaction monitoring.
Coordinate and monitor compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and applicable regulations, including oversight of data protection obligations and related reporting.
Coordinate and monitor implementation of the Bank’s ESG framework, regulatory requirements, and related reporting obligations.
Conduct periodic risk-based compliance reviews across the bank’s operations and branches.
Track implementation of corrective actions arising from regulatory examinations and compliance reviews.
Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate their timely implementation.
Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to departments and branches.
Identify, document and escalate compliance breaches and follow up on corrective action.
Maintain the Bank’s policy register and coordinate timely review and updates with respective policy owners.
Assess regulatory compliance requirements for new products, services and business processes.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Education and qualification

University Degree or Advanced Diploma from a recognized institution.
Good Communication Skills.
Good knowledge of corporate governance compliance requirement (policy, procedures, etc.) underlying banking industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in banking or compliance.
