The Immigration Services Department is established under Section 4(1) of the Immigration Act of 1995 Chapter 54 as amended by Act No.8 of 2015. It gives the Department the authority to control and facilitate immigration issues in the United Republic of Tanzania.
The Department is one of the security organs under Ministry of Home Affairs.

Call For Interview Immigration Services/Jeshi la Uhamiaji 2026
The Commissioner General of Immigration is advising all youth who applied for Employment through the Immigration e-Employment System to visit their employment application accounts via the Immigration website https://www.immigration.go.tz and via their email to receive information and instructions on the date and location of the interview for those selected.
All applicants are required to have their Application ID as sent to their account and email, a photo ID (e.g., National ID, Resident ID, Voter Card, Passport or any other current identification) along with a blue ink pen.
Candidates with IT, driving and automotive skills should prepare for a Practical Examination. In addition, all applicants will be required to cover their own food, transportation and accommodation during the interview process.
