Job Opportunities at Mlimba District Council February 2026, The Director of Mlimba District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for seven (7) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-

1.0 OFFICE EXECUTIVE scribe, GRADE II – POSITION 02

1.1. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii. Receiving visitors and asking about their problems, and directing them to the places where they can be addressed;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, visitors, dates of meetings, the Head’s travels and other work schedules;

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of job duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Division/Unit/Section.

vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant sections.

vii. To arrange the notes and make preparations for various meetings and

viii. To prepare a list of office equipment requirements.

1.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma in Accounting or NTA level 6 certificate in Accounting will be employed.
In addition, they must have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing test at 100 words per minute and have received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any college recognized by the Government.

2.0 RECORDING ASSISTANT GRADE II – POSITION 02

2.1 DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

i. To list incoming correspondence in the register (incoming correspondence register)

ii. List outgoing correspondence in the register (outgoingcorrespondence register)

iii. Distribute files to Action Officers

iv. Receive files returned to the register from the officers

v. Search for records/documents/files required by the officers

vi. Return files to the rack/filling/cabinets or other storage locations

vii. Track file circulation within the institution (file tracking)

viii. Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

2.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Employment of Form IV/VI graduates with a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Records Management from a recognized institution with computer skills.

2.3 SALARY LEVEL

3.0 DRIVER CLASS II – POSITION 03

3.1 DUTIES AND JOB

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety condition of the vehicle;

ii. Sending employees to various locations on business trips

iii. Performing minor vehicle maintenance

iv. Distributing various documents when necessary

v. Filling and maintaining trip information in the trip log

vi. Cleaning the vehicle and

vii. Performing other tasks assigned by the employer

3.2. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C license for driving vehicles that they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes. They must have attended the

Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another College recognized by the Government

3.3 SALARY LEVEL

4.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and not older than 45 years

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate their disability in the application form for the Public Service Employment Secretariat.

iii. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a lawyer/attorney.

iv. Applicants should attach a detailed CV with contact details and phone numbers and the names of three reliable referees.

v. All applications should be accompanied by professional certificates, transcripts, copies of certificates certified by a lawyer/attorney which are birth certificates, Form Four, Form Six for those who have reached that level, and certificates of various training courses in accordance with the qualifications of the relevant job.

vi. “Testmonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

vii. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).

viii. Applicants for Driver II cadre with Class E or C licenses should ATTACH Driver training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes.

ix. Applicants who retired from the Service
