18 Vacancies at Itilima District Council March 2026, The Executive Director of Itilima District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for eighteen (18) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-

1.0 DRIVER II – 5 POSITIONS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

II. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety status of the vehicle;

III. Sending employees to various locations on business trips;

IV. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;

V. Collecting and distributing various documents;

VI. Filling and maintaining all trip information in the trip log;

VII. Cleaning the vehicle; and

VIII. Carrying out other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year
(1) without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes. They must have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.

2.0 RECORD ASSISTANT CLASS II – POSITION 4

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Registering letters entering the Registry in the register (incoming correspondence register)

ii. Registering letters leaving the institution (outgoing correspondence register);

iii. Distributing and receiving files from Action Officers

iv. Returning files to racks/filling cabinets or other storage locations;

v. Monitoring file circulation within the Institution (file tracking);

vi. Analyzing, classifying and organizing records/documents into groups according to the relevant subject (Classification and Boxing) for use by
the Office;

vii. Placing/organizing records/documents in racks (File racks/Cabinets) in the archives/file storage rooms;

viii. Filing records (letters, documents etc.) in files;

ix. Carrying out any other tasks assigned to him/her by his/her Supervisor.

2.1 EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS.

Must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) Education, a Diploma (NTA level 6) in the field of Records Management from a
university recognized by the Government.

3.0 OFFICE EXECUTIVE CLASS II – POSITION 9

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii. Receiving visitors and presenting their problems and explaining to them where they can be helped;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, dates of meetings, trips of the Head and other work schedules;

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of their work duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;

vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant sections;

vii. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings;

viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; and

ix. Performing other tasks assigned by the Head.

3.1 EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS.

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma in Mathematics or NTA Level 6 Mathematics certificate will be recruited.

In addition, they must have passed the Kiswahili and English Shorthand test with 100 points in one minute and have acquired office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

3.2 SALARY. TGS C

1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and between the ages of 18 and 45.

ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate their disabilities on the Application Form for information to the Public Service Employment Secretariat;

iii. All applicants should attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a valid address, available telephone numbers and E-mail address along with the names of three reliable referees;

iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have obtained qualifications for entry into a different cadre than their current one are not allowed to apply for the position.

v. Applicants who have studied abroad should submit a certificate from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

vi. All applications should be accompanied by educational and professional certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney, which are Form Four or Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of completion of various courses, taking into account the qualifications of the relevant job. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, – Certificate of Examination for Form IV and VI, – Computer Certificate, – Professional Certificate from Respective Boards;

vii. “Testmonial“, ‘‘Provisional Results“, “Statement of results“, Form IV and Form VI Results SLIPS NOT AVAILABLE

viii. Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates are verified and certified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).

ix. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.

x. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and should adhere to the instructions
in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.

xi. Submission of false information and qualifications will result in legal action.

xii. The deadline for submitting applications is March 27, 2026.
