630 New Vacancies at MDAs & LGAs March 2026, The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of MDAs & LGAs and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology invites applications from Tanzanians with the qualifications and ability to fill the 630 vacancies as specified in this advertisement;

MDAS & LGAS

1.0 TEACHER GRADE III B – (SPECIAL EDUCATION) – 7 Vacancies

1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Preparing job descriptions, lesson plans, and work plans of other responsibilities assigned to him/her;

ii. Developing and implementing teaching and learning materials;

iii. Teaching, conducting assessments and maintaining records of student progress;

iv. Supervising and monitoring student attendance in schools and classrooms;

v. Supervising students’ mental, physical, spiritual development and counseling and counseling;

vi. To advise and advise the relevant educational institutions on the continuation of education;

vii. To manage and maintain the school leavers’ facilities; and

viii. Other duties assigned by the Head of School in accordance with the responsibilities of the School.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed with a certificate of the National Examination of Form Four/Six who has passed two or more subjects taught in school and has successfully completed the Diploma
of Special Education Teaching from a Government-recognized Teachers’ College.

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT

SECRETARY GRADE II – Position 243

2.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Typing letters, reports and documents, both regular and confidential;

ii. Receiving visitors and listening to their problems and directing them where they can be helped;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the Head’s travels and other work schedules;

iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of work duties;

v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;.

vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;

vii. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings;

viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; andix.

ix. Performing other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be employed. In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing test of 80 words per minute (80.wp.m) and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

3.0 VETERINARY OFFICER II – Position 1

3.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Provide veterinary health services.

ii. Conduct veterinary disease surveillance in his/her area of ​​work in accordance with the law.

iii. Prepare and manage plans for the prevention, control and eradication of livestock diseases in his area.

iv. Manage animal rights.

v. Participate in the investigation of wild animal diseases in his area.

vi. Manage and coordinate compliance with Disease Regulations and Laws, inspection of livestock and their products and livestock inputs.

vii. Coordinate and manage slaughterhouse hygiene activities and meat inspection in his area of ​​work.

viii. Prepare livestock health reports in his area of ​​work and

ix. Perform any other duties in his field as assigned by his superior.

3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

To be employed Graduates with a first degree in Veterinary Medicine from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) or from another University recognized by the Government who are registered with the Tanzania Veterinary Council.

 4.0 QUANTITY SURVEYOR GRADE II – Position 55

4.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Preparing work schedules, bills of quantities (BOQ) and contract documents.

ii. Preparing cost estimates for construction projects.

iii. Collecting data and conducting surveys for construction projects

iv. Preparing budgets for construction projects

v. Preparing valuation reports for construction projects.

vi. In collaboration with the Construction Estimator, preparing brief construction reports for projects.

vii. Handling all financial management issues for projects, preparing construction documents / permits and contracts.

viii. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

4.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed Graduates with a Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering from Universities recognized by the Government in a field related to Construction Estimation (Quantity
Surveryor) and must be registered with the Board that manages this Construction Estimation Profession. (AQRB)

4.3 SALARY LEVEL

5.0 DRIVER GRADE II – Position 296

5.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety condition of the vehicle;

ii. Sending employees to various locations on business trips;

iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;

iv. Collecting and distributing various documents

v. Filling and maintaining all trip records in the trip log;

vi. Cleaning the vehicle; and

vii. Performing other duties as directed by his/her Supervisor.
5.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

The applicant must have completed Form IV and obtained a Form IV Examination Certificate. He/she must have a Class ‘E’ or ‘C’ driving license with experience of driving for not less than one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes and must have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the Vocational Training Institute (VETA) or another Institute recognized by the Government.

1.0 TRAINER ASSISTANT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT II – FOOD PRODUCTION – 5 Positions

1.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Teaching various subjects taught in colleges;

ii. Preparing a training work plan;

iii. Assessing the progress of students in theory and practice;

iv. Maintaining teaching materials; v. Conducting and providing research reports;

v. Providing professional advice; vii. Preparing rules and procedures for administering examinations in colleges;

vi. Setting and correcting examinations;

vii. Conducting research that will help provide answers to various challenges;

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Form Four/Six graduates who have completed a Diploma in ‘’Food Production’’ from a College recognized by the Government will be employed.

2.1 JOB DUTIES

viii. Providing advice on improving the profession in colleges and continuing training outside colleges.

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Form Four/Six graduates who have completed a Diploma in Tailoring and Fashion Design from a recognized Government College

3.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Teaching various subjects taught in colleges;

ii. Preparing a training work plan;

iii. Assessing the progress of students in theory and practice; iv. Maintaining teaching materials;

iv. Conducting and reporting research reports;

v. Providing professional advice;

vi. Preparing rules and procedures for administering examinations in colleges;

vii. Setting and correcting examinations; ix. Conducting research that will help provide answers to various challenges that hinder development in society; and

viii. Providing advice on improving academic performance in the college and continuing training outside the college.

3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Employment of Form Four/Six graduates who have completed a Diploma in Welding and Metal Fabrication from a College recognized by the Government.

3.3 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age. However, for positions within the Military Institutions:

Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.

Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

2. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify their disability in the application form for the Public Service Employment Secretariat.

3. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Solicitor.

4. Applicants who are employed in the Public Service, DO NOT APPLY and are required to comply with the instructions contained in document number CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.

5. 7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). For applicants for cadres requiring ‘GPA’ who studied outside Tanzania, they should attach a ‘GPA’ calculation certificate from TCU.

8. Retired Public Service applicants are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.

9. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
