RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings;
  • Ensure  safe measuring, receiving and issuing of Fuel
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Ensure Fuel and Lubricant are properly receipt and issued
  • Ensure accurate recording of dips, receiving and issuing of Fuel and Lubes
  • Ensure timely receiving and transfers of fuel to customers
  • Ensure maximum housekeeping of the stations
  • Monitoring  the stock on hand
  • Ensure that all Safety, Health and Environmental standards are followed
  • Ensure any leaks are reported to the supervisor

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                             

  • Ordinary level certificate – Form IV

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of at least 1 year experience in a similar industry
  • Tanzania Valid Driving License

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication in English and Swahili, both writing  and verbal
  • Able to understand the content and operation mechanism of the interfaces between books and supplies

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe work practices, i.e., attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting, and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Follow all maintenance procedures and ensure the completion of mechanical activities according to standard without causing any further damage to any component/system/equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain Plant & Mobile equipment safely and efficiently to achieve production and cost targets.
  • Troubleshoot, fault-finding, and corrective maintenance to solve unplanned equipment unavailability events.
  • Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
  • Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets, quality, quantity of materials/ resources, etc.
  • Please perform PM inspection according to the maintenance requirements and make sure that it’s taken care of.
  • Conduct Mobile and Plant equipment upgrades/modifications as required.
  • Removal of the machine components and replacement.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor on conditions that may affect the functionality of the equipment.
  • Follow up on outstanding maintenance/ repairs.
  • Complete the shift handover process.
  • Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop their full potential.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced personnel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                                             

  • Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
  • Trade-certified Fitter, FTC  IMTT or VETA
  • A valid Tanzanian Driving Licence is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years working on Sandvik mechanized mining equipment.
  • Exposure to working with automation of underground mechanized mining equipment.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, coordination, and dexterity
  • Ability to keep records of repairs, time, and parts used for the servicing of heavy, special-purpose automotive equipment, and to make related reports.
  • Considerable knowledge and a high degree of skill in the diagnosis of trouble reported on the various pieces of equipment.
  • The ability to diagnose faults and rectify them in a time-efficient manner is critical
  • Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
  • Skill in the use of mechanized tools, jacks, and hoists
  • Skill in the use of a variety of diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.

3: JOB ADVERT – HD Auto Electrician (01 VACANCY)

Position Description

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit an HD Auto Electrician to join and grow our team. Performing skilled automotive work in installing, repairing, wiring, and maintaining all electrical and electronic components or systems found in different motor vehicles and heavy mobile equipment or machinery as per shift assignment in accordance with Barrick health and safety standards and procedures.

  • Repairing electrical and electronic faults in vehicles and motor equipment, replacing damaged/faulty parts where necessary, this includes, but is not limited to: alarm systems, windows and locks, interior and exterior lighting, and the internal CPU/ control box.  
  • Assembling, replacing, and installing electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles and mobile equipment, including but not limited to: GPS systems, wiring systems, radios, sound systems, and television screens. 
  • Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair work and functionality of the electronic parts and accessories.   
  • Perform modifications and install specialized parts or tools; assemble automotive electronics components according to specifications. 
  • Preparing time and cost estimates for customers 
  • Performing routine revision and maintenance on the motor vehicle 
  • Attend breakdown calls on jobsites to perform minor repairs related to auto electrical.  
  • Maintain and keep work logs, repairs, and maintenance records. 
  • Maintain and repair shop equipment; clean and maintain assigned work area; dispose of hazardous materials according to established procedures.
