1: Mechanical Engineer
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Planning, organizing, and controlling mechanical maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency
Leading maintenance and repair of boilers, milling equipment, pumps, conveyors, and other factory machinery
Coordinating workshop operations including fabrication, welding, machining, and repair works
Developing and implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
Monitoring performance of mechanical systems and recommending improvements or upgrades
Supervising steam generation and distribution systems within the factory
Managing mechanical operations of the sugar milling process, including crushers, mills, gearboxes, and drives
Overseeing alignment, balancing, and calibration of rotating equipment
Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and environmental requirements
Coordinating emergency repairs to minimize downtime and restore operations
Preparing maintenance budgets and controlling costs within approved limits
Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring availability of critical materials and tools
Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures for mechanical maintenance
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized institution
Registration with relevant professional engineering bodies is an added advantage
Certification in Maintenance Management or related technical training will be an added advantage
Minimum of three (3) years working experience in mechanical maintenance and workshop management
Experience in boilers, mills, pumps, and general mechanical systems, preferably in sugar manufacturing

2: Technician – Draughtsman
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings for machinery, equipment, and factory layouts
Preparing accurate fabrication and assembly drawings with correct dimensions
Working with engineers, architects, and production teams to translate concepts into workable designs
Revising and updating drawings based on feedback and design modifications
Ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and company specifications
Maintaining proper documentation and version control of all design files
Providing technical support to manufacturing and production teams
Assisting in troubleshooting design-related issues during production
Developing layouts for new projects and proposing improvements to existing machinery and equipment
Qualifications and requirements:

Minimum of six (6) years working experience in CAD design within manufacturing or large-scale agricultural production environments
Strong proficiency in CAD software for technical and industrial design
Good understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, and factory layouts

3: Technician – Preventive Maintenance
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities
Prioritizing maintenance tasks based on urgency, workload, and resource availability
Coordinating with maintenance technicians, engineers, and operations teams
Liaising with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and tools procurement
Estimating time, labor, and cost requirements for maintenance activities
Tracking and managing spare parts inventory to avoid operational delays
Using CMMS systems such as ERP or Maximo to record and track work orders
Qualifications and requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field from a recognized institution

Proficiency in CMMS systems such as SAP Plant Maintenance, Maximo, or similar platforms

4 DCS Operator – Evaporator
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Operating and monitoring plant processes through Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or SCADA systems in the control room
Adjusting process parameters to ensure optimal plant and equipment performance
Monitoring boilers, power generation systems, milling operations, clarification, evaporation, crystallization, and water treatment systems
Ensuring smooth start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant equipment in accordance with procedures
Monitoring alarms, production indicators, and emergency conditions and taking corrective action
Coordinating with field operators and process technicians for operational adjustments
Recording production data, downtime events, and process deviations for reporting purposes
Qualifications and requirements:
Form Four (IV) certificate
Minimum of three (3) years working experience in process plant operations, preferably in the sugar industry
Experience in control room operations or DCS/SCADA systems will be an added advantage
Possession of National Sugar Institute (NSI) Certificate will be an added advantage
Strong understanding of industrial process control systems
Ability to monitor, interpret, and adjust production parameters effectively
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
5: Fabricator
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Measuring, cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling metal materials according to job requirements
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
Performing welding and fitting activities to assemble metal structures and components
Operating fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drills, presses, and welding tools
Inspecting finished workpieces to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications

6: Operator – Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Collecting water samples from designated sampling points
Analyzing water quality parameters and recording results
Ensuring the effluent treatment plant operates according to required standards
Maintaining cleanliness of the control room and surrounding plant area
Monitoring and ensuring proper functioning of chemical dosing pumps
Adhering to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards
Monitoring chemical stock levels and reporting shortages to the foreman
Qualifications and requirements:
Diploma in Water Quality, Laboratory Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution
Minimum of two (2) years working experience in water treatment, effluent management, or a related field
Good understanding of water quality analysis and laboratory procedures
Ability to operate and monitor effluent treatment plant systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to environmental safety standards

7: Fitter Mechanics – Workshop
