68 Job Vacancies at Tunduru District Council June 2026, The Executive Director of Tunduru District Council wishes to announce to all Tanzanians who are qualified and able to fill the following Contract vacancies; Doctor II Position 10, Sleep Specialist Position 01, Assistant Nursing Officer II Position 30, Physician II Position 09, Pharmaceutical Technologist II Position 02, Teacher III C History 05, Teacher III C English 07. Teacher III C Geography 02 and Teacher III C Business 02.
1.0 DOCTOR II (POSITION 10)
a) QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with a Doctorate/Dentist degree from universities recognized by the government.
b) Duties and responsibilities:
(i) To perform all medical work in hospitals related to various diseases in the relevant field.
(ii) To plan, supervise and evaluate services in districts or regions
(iii) To teach students in health colleges in their area of ​​work
(iv) To investigate, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks
(v) To prepare continuing education for health workers. (vi) Train and direct subordinates
(vii) Supervise subordinates.
(viii) Design, conduct and evaluate research and disseminate results
(ix) Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of service in his field
(x) Provide outreach services in the region
(xi) Provide medical legal services
(xii) Participate in the development and implementation of Government Health Plans
(xiii) Advise the ministry on the operation of health activities in the country.
(xiv) Participate in the medical board committee for the retirement of employees due to health problems.
(xv) Prepare continuing education curricula for health workers. (xvi) Prepare health services budget plans and estimates
(xvii) Perform other tasks assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills.
SALARY
A Contract Doctor will be paid an allowance of Tsh.900,000/= per month.
2.0 SLEEP SPECIALIST -(POSITION 01)
a) Qualifications for direct recruitment
A specialist in anesthesia and sleep medicine with a Diploma in Nursing/Medicine from a recognized institution. b)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preoperative examination of the patient
II. Administering sleep medicine
III. Monitoring the patient during surgery
IV. Pain management
V. Postoperative care
VI. Participate in emergency services
VII. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
SALARY
A Contract Sleep Specialist will be paid an allowance of Tsh. 600,000/= per month.
3.0 ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II-(30 POSITIONS)
a) Qualifications for direct recruitment
Recruitment of Diploma in Nursing, from a recognized institution, registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
b) Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Provide nursing services
(ii) Collect vital health data.
(iii) Direct the work of nurses under him/her
(iv) Educate patients and the community about their health problems (v) Provide preventive and reproductive services
(vi) Perform other duties assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills
SALARY
The Contract Assistant Nursing Officer II will be paid an allowance of Tsh.250,000/= per month.
4.0 DOCTOR II-(POSITION 09)
a) Qualifications for direct entry:
Form four/six graduates with a Diploma in Medicine/Dentistry from a Government-recognized College will be employed.
b) Duties and responsibilities:
i. All duties performed by a Medical Assistant
ii. Identifying and treating common diseases
iii. Supervising the performance of subordinate staff and performing minor surgeries
iv. Participating in planning and implementing Primary Health Services Advising and encouraging citizens to contribute to the Health Services of the Social Health Fund
(vi) Keeping records of equipment and tools for providing services
(vii) Keeping records, preparing and providing implementation reports
(viii) Performing other duties assigned by his/her superior
SALARY
A Contract Medical Officer II will be paid an allowance of Tsh.250,000/= per month.
3.2 MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY II (POSITION 02)
(a) Qualifications for direct entry:
Employment will be with Diploma in the field of Technology in the field of Medicine from a University recognized by the Government and who are registered with the relevant Councils.
b) Duties and responsibilities:
(i) Identify, prepare and order the needs of medicines and medical supplies in his/her work area.
(ii) Distribute medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff
(iii) Compound medicines
(iv) Store medicines and medical supplies
(v) Educate the community on the proper use of medicines
(vi) Inspect medicines, chemical medical supplies, reagents and cosmetics in his/her work area
(vii) Provide information on the side effects resulting from the use of medicines. (viii) Coordinate the work of the hospital medicine committee
(ix) Prepare a report on the use of medicines and medical supplies
(x) Conduct quality inspections of medicines, chemical medical supplies, reagents and cosmetics
(xi) Conduct various inspections in areas where medicines are stored.
(xii) Supervise the performance of subordinates
(xiii) Maintain records of medicines and medical equipment
(xiv) Perform other duties assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills,
SALARY
A Contract Pharmaceutical Technologist II will be paid an allowance of Tsh.250,000/= per month.
3.0 TEACHER III B AND III C (POSITION 16)
For History, English, Geography and Business subjects.
3.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with a Teaching Degree in Arts and Business subjects.
4.2 JOB DUTIES
i. To prepare work plans, lesson plans, lesson notes and work plans for other duties assigned to him/her;
ii. To develop and disseminate teaching and learning tools;
iii. To teach, assess and maintain records of the progress of Students
iv. Supervise and monitor the attendance of students in school and in class;
V. Supervise the mental, physical, spiritual development of students and provide counseling and guidance;
vi. Provide professional and academic advice on the development of education;
vii. Managing and maintaining school equipment and property
viii. Other duties assigned by the Head Teacher according to the responsibilities of the school
SALARY
A Contract Teacher will be paid an allowance of Tsh.300,000/= per month.
GENERAL TERMS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 years and not exceeding 45 years.

vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).
vii. Applicants retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
