Funded Scholarship in People’s Republic of China 2026/2027, The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to inform the general public that the Government of Hunan Province, People’s Republic of China, through the Hunan – Africa Furong Scholarship Programme, is inviting qualified Tanzanian students to apply for fully funded scholarship opportunities for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
The scholarships will be offered at the following universities in Hunan Province, China:
i. Central South University (CSU)
ii. Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST)
iii. Hunan Agricultural University (HUNAU)
2.0. Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship covers:
• Application fees;
• Tuition fees;
• On-campus accommodation fees; and
• Monthly living allowance that will include, Undergraduate students: RMB 2,000 per month and Master’s and
Doctoral students: RMB 2,200 per month.
3.0. Scholarship will not cover;
• Medical insurance,
• residence permit fees,
• registration fees,
• textbooks,
• and other personal expenses

Horticulture, Crop Science, Animal Husbandry Science, Veterinary Science Agricultural Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, Plant Protection Aquatics, Bioscience, Agricultural Resources and Environment, Ecology
5.0. General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
i. Be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania;
ii. Be physically and mentally fit;
iii. Possess good conduct and have no criminal record;
iv. Demonstrate strong academic performance;
v. Meet the admission requirements of the respective university and programme.
6.0. Academic Qualifications and Age Limits
A. Bachelor’s Degree Applicants:
i. Must hold a Certificate of Secondary Education/Advanced Secondary Education or equivalent qualification;
ii. Must be under 25 years of age.
B. Master’s Degree Applicants:
i. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree;
ii. Must be under 35 years of age.
C. Doctoral Degree Applicants:
i. Must hold a Master’s Degree, and
ii. Must be under 40 years of age.
7.0. Language Requirements
A. For English-taught Programmes:
• IELTS score of at least 6.0 or TOEFL score of at least 85 for CSU programmes;
• OEFL score of at least 68, IELTS score of at least 5.5, or Duolingo score of at least 85 for CSUST programmes.
B. For Chinese-taught Programmes:
• Applicants are required to possess the relevant HSK language qualification as specified by the host university.
8.0. Application Documents
Applicants should prepare the following documents:
i. Passport valid for at least one year;
ii. Academic certificates and transcripts;
iii. Language proficiency certificates where applicable;
iv. Certificate of Good Conduct/Non-Criminal Record;
v. Foreigner Physical Examination Form;
vi. Study Plan;
vii. Self-introduction video (where required);
viii. Recommendation letters for postgraduate applicants;
ix. Any other supporting documents required by the respective university.
9.0. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (Csca)
Applicants for undergraduate programmes are required to sit for the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) and obtain the required scores.

10. Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted online no later than 12 June, 2026.
 11. Admission Results
Successful applicants will be notified in July 2026.
12. Commencement Of Studies
Studies are expected to commence in September 2026.
