Tohoku University International Excellence Scholarship 2026/2027, Tohoku University will establish the Tohoku University International Excellence Scholarship beginning with students enrolling in the 2027 academic year.
The scholarship is designed for outstanding international students in undergraduate, Master’s and professional degree programmes.
According to the university’s official information, recipients will be selected based on
entrance examination results or academic performance after enrollment, together with other relevant criteria.
The university expects to support approximately the top one- third of eligible students in each programme.
At undergraduate level, international students admitted to Gateway College will also be eligible for consideration.
The scholarship is connected to the admission process, and applicants should follow the requirements of their selected programme.
