16 Job Opportunities at ZAFAYCO June 2026, The Zanzibar Fighting Against Youth Challenges Organization (ZAFAYCO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to promoting social and economic development in Zanzibar.
ZAFAYCO is currently implementing the Economic Inclusion of Women and Youth Project, a World Bank-funded initiative aimed at improving economic opportunities and livelihoods for women and young people through skills development, entrepreneurship support, improved access to finance and markets, and the establishment of Youth Community Centres in Unguja and Pemba.
To support implementation of the project, ZAFAYCO invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, competent, and motivated residents of Zanzibar to join the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and project hub teams in Unguja and Pemba.
1: Project coordinator 1 Post
The Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership, management, and coordination of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), ensuring effective implementation of project activities, stakeholder engagement, compliance with project requirements, and achievement of project objectives.
2. Financial management specialist 1 Post
The Financial Management Specialist will lead the project’s financial management function, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, disbursement management, and audit coordination, while ensuring compliance with applicable financial management requirements.
3: Finance officer 1 Post
The Finance Officer will support project financial management through financial record management, transaction processing, budget monitoring, financial reporting, and compliance with project financial procedures.
4: Procurement specialist 1 Post
The Procurement Specialist will lead the project’s procurement function and ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely, transparent, and efficient manner in compliance with World Bank Procurement Regulations and project requirements.
5: Procurement officer 1 Post
The Procurement Officer will support implementation of the project’s procurement function through procurement planning support, procurement process coordination, contract administration, records management, and procurement reporting.
6. Monitoring and evaluation specialist 1 Post
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will lead the project’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning function and oversee systems for performance tracking, results measurement, reporting, evaluations, and knowledge management.
7: Monitoring, evaluation and learning Officer 1 Post
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will support data collection, verification, management, reporting, and performance tracking activities to ensure timely and accurate monitoring of project results.
8. Environmental and social specialist 1 Post
The Environmental and Social Specialist will oversee environmental and social risk management, stakeholder engagement, grievance management, and compliance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework and applicable national requirements.
10. Internal auditor 1 Post
The Internal Auditor will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management systems, governance arrangements, financial management processes, and compliance with project requirements.
11: ICT officers. 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
The ICT Officers will provide technical support and manage information and communication technology infrastructure, systems, databases, connectivity, cybersecurity, and user support services required for effective project implementation.
12: Administration officers 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
The Administration Officers will provide administrative, logistical, records management, and operational support to facilitate the effective functioning of project offices and implementation activities.
13: Hub managers 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
The Hub Managers will coordinate and oversee implementation of project activities within their respective hub areas, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, compliance with project requirements, and achievement of planned results.
