42 Job Opportunities at Tunduru District Council June 2026, The Executive Director of Tunduru District Council wishes to announce contract employment opportunities for qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:
Medical Doctor II – 2 Positions
Assistant Nursing Officer II – 29 Positions
Clinical Officer II – 9 Positions
Pharmaceutical Technologist II – 2 Positions
1.0 MEDICAL DOCTOR II (2 POSITIONS)
a) Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from a government-recognized university and be registered with the Medical Council of Tanzania.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Perform all hospital medical duties related to various diseases within the relevant field.
ii. Plan, supervise, and evaluate healthcare services at district or regional levels.
iii. Teach students in health training institutions within their area of work.
iv. Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
v. Prepare continuing education programs for health workers.
vi. Train and guide subordinate staff.
vii. Supervise staff under their responsibility.
viii. Design, conduct, evaluate research, and disseminate findings.
ix. Develop and prepare strategies for improving service quality within their profession.
x. Provide outreach services within designated zones.
xi. Provide medico-legal services.
xii. Participate in the development and implementation of government health policies and plans.
xiii. Advise the Ministry on the management of health activities in the country.
xiv. Participate in Medical Board committees for retirement assessments due to health conditions.
xv. Prepare curricula for continuing professional education of health workers.
xvi. Prepare health service plans and budget estimates.
xvii. Perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor relevant to their education, experience, and skills.
REMUNERATION
Contract Medical Doctors will receive an allowance of TZS 900,000 per month.
2.0 ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II (29 POSITIONS)
a) Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Diploma in Nursing from a government-recognized institution and be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Provide nursing services.
ii. Collect important health statistics.
iii. Supervise and guide nurses under their responsibility.
iv. Educate patients and communities on health-related issues.
v. Provide preventive and reproductive health services.
vi. Perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor relevant to their education, experience, and skills.
REMUNERATION
Contract Assistant Nursing Officers II will receive an allowance of TZS 250,000 per month.
3.0 CLINICAL OFFICER II (9 POSITIONS)
a) Qualifications
Applicants must be Form Four or Form Six graduates holding a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Dental Therapy from a government-recognized institution.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Perform all duties carried out by an Assistant Clinical Officer.
ii. Diagnose and treat common illnesses.
iii. Supervise subordinate staff and perform minor surgical procedures.
iv. Participate in planning and implementing Primary Health Care services.
v. Advise and mobilize citizens to contribute to Community Health Fund services.
vi. Maintain records of equipment and service delivery tools.
vii. Keep records, prepare reports, and submit implementation reports.
viii. Perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor.
REMUNERATION
Contract Clinical Officers II will receive an allowance of TZS 250,000 per month.
4.0 PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST II (2 POSITIONS)
a) Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a government-recognized institution and be registered with the relevant professional boards where applicable.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Identify, prepare, and order pharmaceutical and medical supply requirements in their area of work.
ii. Dispense medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff.
iii. Compound medications.
iv. Store medicines and medical supplies appropriately.
v. Educate the public on the proper use of medicines.
vi. Inspect medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics within their area of responsibility.
vii. Report adverse drug reactions and effects.
viii. Coordinate the activities of the hospital medicines committee.
ix. Prepare reports on medicine and medical supply utilization.
x. Conduct quality assessments of medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents, and cosmetics.
xi. Carry out inspections of medicine storage facilities.
xii. Supervise subordinate staff.
xiii. Maintain records of medicines and medical supplies.
xiv. Perform any other duties assigned by their supervisor relevant to their education, experience, and skills.
REMUNERATION
Contract Pharmaceutical Technologists II will receive an allowance of TZS 250,000 per month.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
i. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should clearly indicate their disability status.

iv. v. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, Form IV and Form VI Results Slips will NOT be accepted and will NOT be allowed to proceed with the interview process.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and accredited by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET).
vii. Retired public servants are not eligible to apply unless they have obtained permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Applicants currently employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the directives contained in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
ix. Applicants who submit forged information or qualifications will be subjected to legal action.
x. Applicants whose names differ across submitted documents must provide a registered Deed Poll certified by the Ministry of Lands.
