60 Job Vacancies at Arusha City Council July 2026

60 Job Vacancies at Arusha City Council July 2026, Arusha City Council is located in northern Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Meru at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters above sea level.

The rapidly growing city of Arusha has long been an important gateway to East Africa’s popular tourist attractions such as National Parks and Maasai culture; and is now also a popular venue for international meetings, conferences and seminars.

For many years, Arusha has been a hub for the Tanzanite trade; a unique gemstone found only in northern Tanzania.

The city’s history began in the 19th century when Captain Johannes built a fort at the foot of Mount Meru to facilitate German colonization of what later became Tanganyika.

From this small fort, which still stands and is now a natural history museum, Arusha began to grow; first as a trading center for the local people, and now as a prominent center for various international activities.
