160 New Vacancies at MDAs July 2026, The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of MDAs invites applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill 160 positions as specified in this advertisement;

1.0 QUANTITY SURVEYOR GRADE II – 5 Positions

1.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Prepare work schedules, construction costs (BOQ) and contract documents.

ii. Prepare cost estimates for construction projects.

iii. Collect data and conduct surveys for the rehabilitation of construction projects

iv. Prepare budgets for construction projects

v. Prepare valuation reports for construction projects.

vi. In collaboration with the Construction Estimator, prepare brief construction reports for projects.

vii. Handle all financial management issues of projects, prepare construction documents / permits and contracts.

viii. Perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To employ graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree/Higher Diploma in Engineering from Universities recognized by the Government in a field related to Construction Estimation (Quantity Surveryor) and must be registered with the Board that manages this Construction Estimation Profession. (AQRB)

1.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS.E

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 35 Positions

2.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;

ii. Receiving visitors and listening to their problems and directing them where they can be helped;

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, trips of the Head and other work schedules;
Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of job duties;

iv. Receiving files and distributing them to the relevant Officers in the Department/Unit/Section;.

v. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;

vi. Organizing abstracts and making preparations for various meetings;

vii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; andix. Performing other tasks as assigned by his/her Head of Department

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be employed. In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing Course at 80 words per minute (80.w.p.m) and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any university recognized by the Government.

2.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS C

3.0 LAND OFFICER II – 40 Positions

3.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Entering records into the computer;

ii. Providing advice to clients;

iii. Receiving, reviewing and distributing files to officers for implementation.

iv. Assisting Land Officers in inspection and taking records, photographs, measurements of buildings and drawings;

v. Compiling and preparing inspection reports;

vi. Preparing drafts of Deeds and entering deed plans;

vii. Ordering deed plans.

3.2 QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants with a Bachelor’s/Higher Diploma in Land Management and Valuation or a Law Degree from a University recognized by the Government will be considered.

3.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS.E

4.0 STANDARD TECHNICIAN SURVEY II -10 Positions

4.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Planning and preparing surveying camp requirements, surveying equipment and general requirements

ii. Conducting preliminary surveying and establishing surveying marks on the ground

iii. Conducting surveying and collecting all surveying information and data

iv. Drawing a “Sketch” of the surveying drawing

v. Performing surveying calculations

4.2 QUALIFICATIONS

Form four or six graduates with a two-year vocational training certificate in land surveying from colleges recognized by the Government will be employed.

4.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS.C

5.0 LAND TUTOR II LAND MANAGEMENT AND VALUATION) – 15 positions

5.1 JOB DUTIES

i. To teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels;

ii. To administer examinations up to NTA level 6

iii. To conduct and support research and consultancy works;

iv. To prepare learning resources;

v. To supervise field training;

v. To supervise and assist junior staff.

vii. To perform any other related duties as assigned by superiors.

5.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification Land Management and Valuation with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5.0.

5.3 LEVEL OF SALARY TGS D

6.0 DRIVER II – Position 22

6.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety status of the vehicle;

ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips;

iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs;

iv. Collecting and distributing various documents;

v. Filling and maintaining all trip information in the trip logbook

vi. Cleaning the vehicle;

vii. And performing other tasks as directed by his/her Supervisor.

6.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed graduates with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.

7.0 LAND TUTOR II – REAL ESTATE, FINANCE AND INVESTMENT – Position 2

7.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Teaching.

ii. Providing advice to students on specific projects.

iii. Supervising and guiding students in classroom and extracurricular activities.

iv. Providing technical and professional advice.

v. Conducting research and consulting.

vi. Preparing evaluation reports and curriculum recommendations.

7.2 QUALIFICATIONS

A graduate with a First Degree in one of the following fields is required; Bachelor of Science in Properties and Facilities Management (BSc.PFM), Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment (BSc.REFI), Bachelor of Science in Land Management and Valuation (BSc.LMV) from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 3.0

7.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS.E

8.0 LAND TUTOR II – ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT – 1 Position

8.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Teaching

8.2 QUALIFICATIONS

9.1 JOB DUTIES

9.2 QUALIFICATIONS

A holder of a degree in Land Management and Valuation from Government-recognized Universities with a minimum GPA of 3.0

9.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS D

10.0 ACCOUNTANT GRADE II – Position 10

10.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Writing income and expenditure statements;

ii. Writing income statements;

iii. Receiving government revenues and submitting them to the Bank on time;

iv. Reconciling Bank accounts and other financial matters;

v. Reviewing payment documents; and

vi. Performing other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.

10.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Form Six graduates with a degree in Accounting or Commerce who have established themselves in the field of Accounting or a Higher Diploma in Accounting from an Institution recognized by the Government along with a CPA(T) Certificate in Accounting or an equivalent qualification recognized by the NBAA will be employed.

10.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS E

11.0 ASSISTANT LAND OFFICER II – Position 15

11.1 DUTIES OF JOB

i. Entering records into the computer;

12.0 HEALTH ASSISTANT II (MORTUARY ATTENDANT) – Position 3

12.1 JOB DUTIES

i. Cleaning wards, hospital areas, halls and equipment;

ii. Clean and disinfect the morgue daily;

iii. Distribute bed sheets, blankets and mattresses to the wards

iv. Assist patients with disabilities while bathing or using the toilet;

v. Assist in feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves

vi. Collect and deliver patients’ clothing to the morguelia, and maintain safely clean equipment and tools;

vii. Collect and send patient test samples to the laboratory;

viii. Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by his/her supervisor

12.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Form Four (CSEE) or Form Six (ACSEE) graduates will be hired, along with a one-year Certificate in health-related fields from a recognized Institution by the Government.

12.3 SALARY LEVEL TGHS A

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age. However, for positions within the Military Institutions:

Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.

Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.
