Full Funded scholarship in Japan for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is pleased to inform the public that the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan, has opened applications for a range of fully funded and partially funded postgraduate scholarship programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

These scholarships are offered through various funding schemes supported by the Government of Japan, the Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the World Bank, and other development partners.

The scholarships are available for Master’s and Doctoral (PhD) studies in a wide range of fields, including Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Finance, Economics, Governance, International Development, Policy Analysis, and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy.

2.0. Applicants

i. Applicants must be citizens of eligible countries, possess relevant academic qualifications from recognized institutions,

ii. Demonstrate proficiency in English,

iii. satisfy the specific eligibility requirements of the applied programme, and

iv. Certain programmes may also require professional work experience and may have age limitations.

3.0. Scholarship Coverage

Depending on the scholarship scheme, successful applicants may receive:

i. Full tuition fee coverage

ii. Monthly living allowance

iii. Round-trip international airfare

iv. Settlement and relocation allowances

v. Health insurance

vi. Other benefits as specified under individual scholarship programmes.
