Job Vacancies at Urambo District Council September 2026,The Executive Director of Urambo District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for four (04) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance for the following analysis:-
1: DEREVA DARAJA II (DRIVER II) 3 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety condition of the vehicle;
Sending Employees to various locations on business trips;
Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;
Filling and maintaining information on all trips in the trip log;
Collecting and distributing various documents; and
Cleaning the Vehicle;
Qualifications
Employees with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked for at least one (1) year without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes.
They must have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.
2: MWANDISHI MWENDESHA OFISI DARAJA LA II (OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II) 1 Position
Duties and Responsibilities
Type letters, reports and documents, both regular and confidential;
Receive visitors and listen to their problems and direct them where they can be helped;
Maintain records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the Head’s travels and other work schedules;
Search for files and documents required in the implementation of work duties;
Receive files and distribute them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;
Collect, maintain and return files and documents to the relevant departments;
Organize notes and make preparations for various meetings;
Prepare a list of office equipment requirements; andix. Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
Employment of Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies.
In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English 80 words per minute (80.wp.m) test and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any government-recognized college.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged 18 and not exceeding 45 years.

iv. All applications should be accompanied by educational and professional certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are Form Four or Form Six certificates for those who have reached that level and various training certificates based on the qualifications of the relevant job
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate – Form Four and Six Examination
Certificate, Computer Certificate, – Professional Certificate from Respective Boards.
v. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of results, Form IV and VI results slips (form V and form VI results slips) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED WITH THE INTERVIEW.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and certified by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). vii. Retired Public Service applicants are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.
viii. Applicants for Driver II cadre with Class E or C licenses should ATTACH Driver training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes.
ix. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and should adhere to the instructions in Circular No. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November,
2010.
x. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
xi. Applicants whose names differ in their documents should submit a Deed Poll registered with the
Ministry of Lands.
xii. The deadline for submitting applications is September 10, 2026.
