Scholarships Tenable in the Arab Republic of Egypt 2026/2027, The General Public is hereby informed that the Ministry of Higher Education of Egypt is offering scholarships under the initiative “EGY-AID” scholarships for suitable Tanzanian candidates to apply for undergraduate, postgraduate and Arabic studies for the academic year 2026/2027.
General Requirements
a. To be eligible for admission, all applicants must meet the following general conditions:
(i) Be a citizen of Tanzania.
(ii) Hold an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or itsequivalent for admission to a bachelor’s degree programme.
b. . The applicant’s name must be identical on all submitted documents for verification purposes.
c. Students nominated for the scholarship are eligible for admission only to Egyptian public universities.
3. List of required documents
i. Certificate of Advanced Secondary Education or its equivalent, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and the Egyptian Embassy.
ii. Certified university degree certificate(s) and academic transcript(s) for postgraduate applicants
iii. A copy of a valid passport.
Scholarship application requirements
i. Students nominated for the scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year must demonstrate academic excellence and meet the minimum academic requirements.
ii. The maximum age limit shall be 22 years for Bachelor’s degree applicants and 32 years for Master’s and PhD applicants.
iii. Postgraduate applicants must submit a research proposal.
iv. Applicants must submit all documents required for registration.
v. Applicants must submit a well-written personal statement.
vi. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae and a recommendation letter.
For students applying for the Arab Language Cultural Center:
i. Students should be capable of successfully passing the preparatory level as a beginner.
ii. The maximum age limit for applicants is 32 years.
iii. Placement Test is held online or in person at the Arab Language Cultural Center.
Scholarship coverage
This scholarship will cover the following expenses:
i. Tuition fees;
ii. Monthly stipend for all scholarship beneficiaries, with additional allowance for books and thesis printing (for Master’s and PhD students);
iii. Return ticket upon successful completion of studies; and
iv. Medical treatment at university and government hospitals.
