1: Senior Supervisor-UG Mining Service&Cons

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To ensure mining activities such as drilling, blasting, ground support installation, infrastructure, bogging, haulage, service, safety and training achieve expected results.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Analyze data and prepare reports on mine production.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues and recommend solutions.
  • Complete safety leading indicators and Critical Control Verification for major hazards as per set targets.
  • Comply with incident management protocol as per GGM procedure.
  • Promptly act on issues that arise, ensuring accident or incident reporting and investigation is carried out and followed up.
  • Ensure safe and proper implementation of all aspects of the operations in compliance with GGM Underground Standard Working Procedures.
  • Support supervisors and provide direction and assistance with planning mining activities to meet daily, weekly and monthly production KPIs for development meters, production meters and total ore tons movement.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

  • Completion of Secondary School Education.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Valid Blasting Certificates would be an added advantage.

Experience

  • At least 8 years of working experience in underground operation.
  • At least 4 years in a supervision role in both sublevel longitudinal stopping and transverse mine.
  • Experience working as an Underground Supervisor.
  • Experience working as an Underground Senior Supervisor.
  • Experience working at a mechanized mine.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading large and diverse teams.
  • Underground equipment operation experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of underground mining, haulage and backfilling.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, delegating tasks, assigning resources and managing operations to achieve production and cost objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience with autonomous decision making and creating contingency plans for unexpected hurdles.
  • Demonstrable record of managing safe mine operations, with a good knowledge of relevant international mining standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and manage a culturally diversified workforce.
  • Ability to work across all disciplines where rigorous engagement and interaction is expected.
  • Ability to work independently while strictly adhering to safety and task priorities.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.

2: Work Management Planner

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Conduct planning work as a member of the Engineering team accountable for delivery of planned department performance with zero injuries at the lowest practical unit cost. Specify the requirements for safely, correctly, and efficiently completing approved work.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute the Plan Work element of the Business Process Framework.
  • Review work orders, notifications, and work order task status reports daily to assist in prioritizing planning work and tracking upcoming work.
  • Plan approved work orders and notifications within the area of accountability for resource procurement and execution prior to the required by date.
  • Engage with work execution teams to contribute planning details and incorporate their input into planning packages.
  • Obtain sign-off on work packages from the accountable Senior Supervisor or First Line Manager.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues that threaten successful planning of work orders for completion by the required by date.
  • Plan work to minimize impact on operating performance without exceeding the required by date for work completion.
  • Plan work to minimize demand for resources without exceeding the required by date for work completion.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institute or college of higher learning.
  • Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Full Technician Certificate in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in the mining industry.
  • Experience in various ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Extensive scheduling and planning experience in an engineering, maintenance, production, or process environment.
  • Experience with data collection and upload and download data sheets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suites including Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good Microsoft skills and computer literacy in spreadsheets and programming data entry.
  • Demonstrated managerial leadership practices that embody company values.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manual books.
  • Current knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
