1: Assistant Civil Works-Finishing Package Manager
Job Summary
The Assistant Civil Works / Finishing Package Manager will support the Civil Works Package Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on civil and finishing works across assigned projects. The role ensures works are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and in compliance with quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design review to ensure technical suitability, cost effectiveness, and alignment with specifications.
- Monitor construction quality, finishing standards, EHS compliance, and coordination among contractors.
- Assist with materials scheduling, resource planning, progress meetings, reporting, and document control.
- Support tendering, contractor prequalification, costing analysis, value engineering, and payment certification.
- Assist with QA/QC processes, risk identification, snagging, defect liability management, and project close‑out.
- Support environmental protection initiatives and tracking of GHG emissions during construction.
The requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in civil works or finishing package management (educational projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of contract documents, construction standards, EHS requirements, and local/BS codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and related construction software.
- Excellent planning, communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

Position Summary
The Assistant MEP Package Manager will support the MEP Package Manager in coordinating and supervising MEPF–ICT construction works for the Mzizma School refurbishment and extension project. The role ensures effective delivery of building services and engineering installations, including LV, ELV, ICT, HVAC, Plumbing and Hydraulics, elevators, transformer substations, water supply systems, pump stations, and landscaping, in line with scope, quality, safety, time, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accurate project estimates and ensure work packages are delivered within budget.
- Assist in tendering processes including prequalification, bid meetings, bid analysis, and contractor appointment.
- Review contractors’ BOQs, variation claims, and completed works for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Monitor progress against project programmes and support short‑ and long‑term planning.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and equipment performance.
- Ensure QA/QC documentation complies with project procedures, specifications, and design.
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries, progress schedules, and reports.
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and labour resources as required.
- Support commissioning, testing, certification, snagging, and project close‑out activities.
- Ensure AKES procedures, safety requirements, risk assessments, and method statements are fully complied with.
The requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in MEP design and/or construction.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in package management within construction projects (educational facilities preferred).
- Proven experience delivering MEP packages from inception to operation.
- Knowledge of contract documents, BOQs, local and BS codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, record‑keeping, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and diverse environment.
