1: Assistant Accountant
Job purpose
The role holder will be responsible for reconciliation of clients’ accounts and ensure queries from intermediaries are promptly responded.
Key responsibilities
Cash flow management – Daily monitoring of customer accounts and ensure adherence to cash before cover policy, handle the collection of premiums and find the resolution of account queries.
Customer retention and loyalty – Timely payment of commission
Verification of premium payment before processing claim- No claim file not confirmed within 24 hours.
Allocating daily receipts to all customer accounts
Providing accounts information to internal departments
Intermediaries reconciliation- No unreconciled balances more than 30 days Send monthly reconcile statement to intermediaries,
Liaise with underwriters daily on funds received with no debit for timely postings.
Support all strategic initiatives that are in place which focus on premium collection and credit control issues for head office as well as for all the branches
Ensure all customers and direct clients /Agency queries are responded immediately. Ensure all commission reports are reconciled and paid by 1st week of every month. Ensure all outstanding statement are sent by 10th of every month
Regional cooperation, expansion & other assignments:- Ensure all regional queries  on credit control issues are responded immediately and all reports required from receivables are prepared on time
Deliver on performance requirements as defined in the departments’ strategy map, balanced scorecard and Personal Scorecard.
Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

2: Claims Analyst – (26000042)
Job Purpose and Key responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To manage and settle insurance claims from notification to final resolution by assessing claim validity, reviewing policy coverage, determining fair compensation, negotiating settlements, resolving disputes, pursuing recoveries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while minimizing financial losses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Receive claims notification, acknowledge, register and process as per the insurance policy in place.
Review documents submitted, verify and analyze in relation to existing policy and checking its validity and settlement according to company procedures and standards
Advice claimants regarding basic matters about their insurance coverage in relation to the insurance claim.
Issuing authorization letters, settlement offers as approved and monitor progress
Respond to both internal and external claims inquiries concerning benefits, claims process, service providers, and the filing/completion of proper forms
Record all claims transactions in pure system with correct reserves.
Proactive communication and feedback provision to clients/intermediaries on claims progress
Appointment of service providers and close follow up on their delivery.
Preparation of monthly reports
Processing facultative claims
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
