157 Vacancies at Ministry of Lands August 2026, The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development invites applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill the 157 vacancies as specified in this advertisement;
1.0 QUANTITY SURVEYOR GRADE II – 5 Positions
1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare work schedules, construction costs (BOQ) and contract documents.
ii. Prepare cost estimates for construction projects.
iii. Collect data and conduct surveys for the renovation of construction projects
iv. Prepare budgets for construction projects
v. Prepare valuation reports for construction projects.
vi. In collaboration with the Construction Estimator, prepare brief construction reports for projects.
vii. Handle all financial management issues for projects, prepare construction documents / permits and contracts.
viii. Perform other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To recruit graduates with a Bachelor’s/Higher Diploma in Engineering from Universities recognized by the Government in a field related to Construction Estimation (quantity Surveryor) and must be registered with the Board that manages this Construction Estimation Profession. (AQRB)

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – Position 35
2.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents;
ii. Receiving visitors and listening to their problems and directing them where they can be helped;
iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the Head’s travel and other work schedules; Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of work duties;
iv. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;
v. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant departments;
vi. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings;
vii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements; and
ix. Performing other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department. 2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be recruited.
In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing 80 words per minute (80.wp.m) subject and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any college recognized by the Government.

3.0 LAND OFFICER II – Position 40
3.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Entering records into the computer;
ii. Providing advice to clients;
iii. Receiving, reviewing and distributing files to officers for implementation.
iv. Assisting Land Officers in inspection and taking records, photographs, measurements of buildings and drawings;
v. Compiling and preparing inspection reports;
vi. Preparing drafts of Deeds and entering Deed plans;
vii. Ordering Deed Plans.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
A Bachelor’s/Higher Diploma in Land Management and Valuation or a Law Degree from a University recognized by the Government.

4.0 STANDARD TECHNICIAN GRADE II LAND SURVEY II – 10 Positions
4.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Planning and preparing surveying camps, surveying equipment and general requirements
ii. Conducting preliminary surveying and establishing surveying marks on the ground
iii. Conducting surveying and collecting all surveying information and data
iv. Drawing a “Sketch” of the surveying drawing
v. To carry out surveying calculations
4.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Form four or six graduates with a two-year technical training certificate in land surveying from colleges recognized by the Government will be recruited.
4.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS.C
5.0 LAND TUTOR II LAND MANAGEMENT AND VALUATION – Position 15
5.1 JOB DUTIES
i. To teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels;
ii. To administer examinations up to NTA level 6
iii. To conduct and support research and consultancy works;
iv. To prepare learning resources;
v. To supervise field training;
vi. To supervise and assist junior staff.
vii. To perform any other related duties as assigned by superiors.
5.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification Land Management and Valuation with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5.0.
5.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS D
6.0 DRIVER II – Position 22
6.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety status of the vehicle;
ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips;
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs;
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents;
v. Filling and maintaining all trip information in the trip logbook
vi. Cleaning the vehicle;
vii. And performing other tasks as directed by his/her Supervisor.
6.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed graduates with a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes.
Must have attended a Basic Driving Course provided by VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.

A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields is required;
Bachelor of Science in Properties and Facilities Management (BSc.PFM), Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment (BSc.REFI), Bachelor of Science in Land Management and Valuation (BSc.LMV) from a recognized University with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Form Six graduates with a degree in Accounting or Commerce who have established themselves in the field of Accounting or a Higher Diploma in Accounting from an Institution recognized by the Government along with a Certificate of Professional Accounting CPA(T) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the NBAA will be employed.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
