List of Student Who qualify for Samia Scholarship’ program for the 2026/2027 , The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced the list of students who received scholarships through the ‘Samia Scholarship’ program for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The scholarship has been awarded to 1,000 students who achieved high performance in the National Examination for Sixth Form administered by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) in science subjects.

The students will be funded for their undergraduate studies after applying for or gaining admission in the fields of Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine, based on the guidelines issued by the Higher Education Students Loans Board (HESLB).

SCHOLARSHIP ITEMS UNDER SAMIA SCHOLARSHIP

Samia Scholarship beneficiaries will be awarded scholarship amounts according to the needs of the faculties in their respective tertiary education institutions. Applicable amount for the scholarship will be as follows: –

1 TUITION FEE (TF)The student will be awarded a tuition fee at the amount not exceeding TZS 5,000,000
per year.

2 MEALS & ACCOMMODATION (MA)

The student will be awarded meals and accommodation at the rate of TZS 10,000 per day. The funds will be paid in four instalments per annum.

3 BOOKS AND STATIONERY (BS)

A maximum amount of TZS 200,000 per annum will be granted to cover the cost of books and stationaries.

4 SPECIAL FACULTY REQUIREMENT (SFR)

Special Faculty Requirements (SFR) will be awarded for programmes that require special faculty requirement based on established ceiling amounts determined by HESLB.

5 FIELD PRACTICAL TRAINING (FPT)

The student will be awarded an amount of TZS 10,000 per day as living expenses for a period not exceeding 56 days during practical training.

6 RESEARCH EXPENSES (RES)

The student will be awarded research funds at a rate not exceeding TZS 500,000 per annum.

7 HEALTH INSURANCE (HI)

The student will be awarded TZS 50,400 every year to cover health insurance throughout the study period.
