Internship Opportunities at MUHAS Univesity 2026, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) invites applications from suitably qualified MUHAS undergraduate students to be considered for internship opportunities during the long holidays.
The internship programme provides students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience, develop professional skills, and contribute to various activities across the University.
Successful applicants may be placed in different departments, schools, institutes, directorates, units, or other administrative areas within MUHAS, depending on the available opportunities and institutional needs.
The Internationalization and Convocation Unit (ICU) will coordinate the internship programme and placement of successful applicants.
1. INTERNSHIP POSITIONS: 10 POSTS

Duration: September–October 2026
 Internship Status: Full-time
Reports To:Â Head of the respective Department/Unit where the intern is placed
a) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the department or unit of placement, interns may be required to:
Assist in planning and implementing activities of the assigned department or unit.
Assist in preparing meetings, workshops, reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents.
Support coordination of departmental, institutional, academic, or student-related activities.
Assist in data collection, documentation, filing, and record management.
Support communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders where applicable.
Assist in organizing events, programmes, projects, and other activities assigned by the respective department or unit.
Perform other duties relevant to the internship placement as assigned by the supervisor.
b) COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Good academic standing.
A track record of participating in extracurricular activities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve and work in a busy environment.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate good time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff and other stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing demands.
Good command of the English and Swahili languages, both written and verbal.
Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
