Job Vacancies at Geita Regional Referral Hospital August 2026, The Medical Officer of Geita Regional Referral Hospital invites qualified individuals to apply for a volunteer position for a period of twelve (12) months. The position is as follows:
1.0 ACCOUNTANT ASSISTANT GRADE I – POSITION 3
1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
He/She must have a diploma in accounting from a recognized institution by the Government or a holder of ATEC II certificate issued by NBAA or other equivalent qualifications recognized by NBAA.
1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. maintaining a financial register for routine and development expenditure.
ii. maintaining payment vouchers.
iii. entering income and expenditure into the financial books.
iv. preparing various financial statements received.
v. performing other duties within his/her field as assigned by his/her supervisor.
1.3. MONTHLY SALARY
The monthly allowance will be as stipulated in the Public Service Volunteering Guidelines of 2025.
2.0 PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGY CLASS II – 5 POSITIONS
2.1. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT:
He must have a diploma in pharmacy from a government-recognized institution who has completed a one-year internship and is registered with the Pharmacy Council.
2.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
i. Identify, prepare and order the requirements of medicines and medical supplies in his/her area of ​​work
ii. Distribute medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff
iii. Compound medicines
iv. Store medicines and medical supplies
v. Educate the community about the proper use of medicines
vi. Inspect medicines, medical supplies, chemicals, reagents and cosmetics in his/her area of ​​work
vii. Provide information on the side effects of the use of medicines
vii.Providing information on the side effects of the use of medicines
viii. Coordinating the work of the hospital committee
ix. Preparing reports on the use of medicines and medical devices
x. Conducting quality inspections of medicines, chemical medical devices, cosmetic reagents
xi. Conducting various inspections in areas that store medicines
xii. Supervising the work performance of subordinate staff
xiii. Maintaining records of medicines and medical devices
xiv. Performing other tasks assigned by his/her supervisor.
2.3. MONTHLY ALLOWANCE
The monthly allowance will be as stipulated in the Public Service Volunteering Guidelines
of 2025.
3.0 MENTAL HEALTH DOCTOR – POSITION 1
3.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
He/She must have a Doctor of Psychiatry degree from a university recognized by the Government
who has completed an “Internship” and obtained registration from the Tanganyika Medical Council
(Medical Council of Tanganyika)
3.2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Perform all hospital medical work related to mental health diseases.
ii. Provide and manage health education as well as improve community health in his/her area of ​​work.
iii. Maintain statistics and submit them as directed in the principles of MTUHA.
iv. Plan and evaluate Mental Health services in his/her area of ​​work
v. Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in his/her field
vi. Prepare plans and budget estimates for Mental Health services
vii. Participate in reviewing and improving Mental Health services (Medical Audit and Quality Improvement)
viii. Perform other tasks assigned by his/her Head of work related to his/her education, experience and skills.
3.3. MONTHLY REMUNERATION
The monthly stipend will be as stipulated in the Public Service Volunteering Guidelines of 2026.
LAUNDRY SERVICES CLASS II (LAUNDRY SERVICES) POSITION 1
CAREER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Form Four graduate who has completed two or three years of training in the field of Laundry Services from colleges recognized by the Government.
4.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conducting analysis of clothes for washing and drying, ironing and packing.
ii. Maintaining all equipment related to the Laundry work.
ii. Performing other tasks assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills.
4.3. MONTHLY ALLOWANCE
The monthly allowance will be as stipulated in the Public Service Volunteering Guidelines of 2025.
5.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS.
i. Be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18 years and not exceeding
35 years;
ii. Be a Form Four graduate and above.
iii. Be a legal holder of professional certificates and attach copies of certificates in his/her application
iv. Be willing to volunteer in the relevant area;
v. Have never been convicted by the Court for criminal or disciplinary offences;
vi. Have good conduct and character acceptable to the community; and
vii. Have never been employed in any Public Institution since he/she graduated from studies.
viii. Applicants whose cadres require them to be registered with their professional boards should attach registration and license certificates.
ix. Applicants who meet the criteria will be called for an interview.
x. The applicant should write on the outside of the envelope the position he/she is applying for.
