Job Vacancies at Namtumbo District Council August 2026, The Executive Director of Namtumbo Local Government Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for six (06) job positions in this Council after obtaining approval from the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-
1.0 OFFICE EXECUTIVE scribe, grade II – position 04
1. 1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors and asking about their problems, and directing them to the places where they can be addressed.
iii. Maintaining information and records of events, appointments, visitors, dates of meetings, the Head’s travels and other work schedules.
iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of job duties.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section.
vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to the relevant sections.
vii. Organizing notes and making preparations for various meetings and;
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Form Four graduates with a Diploma in Accounting or a NTA level 6 certificate in Accounting will be hired. In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Hatimkato subject at 100 words per minute and have access to office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

2.0 DRIVER CLASS II – POSITION 02
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to determine the safety status of vehicles.
ii. Taking employees to various locations on business trips.
iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents.
v. Cleaning the vehicle.
vi. Filling in and maintaining all trip records in the trip log.
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with a Form IV certificate and a Class C or E driving license that he has worked for a period of not less than one (1) year (1) without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified him to obtain the relevant classes.
He must have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another college recognized by the Government.
2.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS B
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and between the ages of 18 and 45.

v. “Testmonial“, ‘‘Provisional Results“, “Statement of results“, Form IV and Form VI RESULTS SLIPS (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vi. Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates have been verified and certified by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
vii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.
viii. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and should adhere to the instructions contained in Document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
ix. Applicants for the post of Class II Driver with Class E and C licenses should ATTACH driver training certificates that qualified them to obtain the grades relevant.
x. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
xi. Only those who meet the required qualifications will be called for the Interview.
