Job Vacancies at Songwe Regional Referral Hospital August 2026, Songwe Regional Referral Hospital is one of the Regional Referral Hospitals under the Ministry of Health, established in 2018 and guided by the 2018 Regional Referral Hospitals Operating Guidelines.

The hospital is located in Songwe Region, Mbozi District, Hasamba Ward. The hospital is located in Nsenya area, four (4) kilometers from the main road.

DETAILS ABOUT VOLUNTEER JOB POSITIONS.

The Medical Officer of Songwe Regional Referral Hospital, would like to
announce a volunteer position, for all Tanzanians with the required qualifications and qualifications and who are sincerely interested in working at Songwe Regional Referral Hospital for a one-year contract in the relevant position as follows:

1.0 CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY (POSITION 01)

1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT:

Applicants must have completed Form IV or VI with a Diploma in the field of Cardiovascular Technology (Cardiovascular Technologist) from a College/Colleges recognized by the Government.

1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To examine and diagnose diseases of the heart and blood vessels.

To provide advice on treatment and lifestyle changes such as nutrition, exercise and weight management.

To monitor patients with heart diseases and adjust their medication according to their condition.

To provide emergency services to heart patients especially those with symptoms of a heart attack.

To provide education on prevention against heart and blood vessel diseases.

To perform and interpret heart and blood vessel tests such as; ECG, Echocardiography (ECHO), Stress test and other specialized tests.

2.0 HEALTH ASSISTANT (POSITION 02)

2.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Applicants must be Form Four graduates with a certificate in Health Assistant or Environmental Health Technician from a government-recognized institution. Those with a Community Health Diploma will be given priority.

2.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning work equipment, cleaning the ward and the environment.

Assisting disabled and infirm patients in going to the toilet (Major and Minor) and bathing.

Helping to feed the infirm patient.

Taking the patient’s clothes to be washed.

Taking patient samples for laboratory tests and monitoring the results.

Transporting patients between departments within the Health Care Center.

Maintaining hygiene equipment.

Preparing equipment for cleaning and dressing wounds.

Monitoring the needs of patients’ medicines from the medicine store.

Performing other activities assigned by your Work Leader.

3.0 OFFICE ASSISTANT (POSITION 01)

3.1 QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have completed Form Four and attended short-term training in the following areas; Office Attendant Course, Office Management, Messengerial Course, Office Clerk from a college/colleges recognized by the Government.

3.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning the office environment outside and inside including sweeping, dusting, mopping, cutting leaves, weeding the garden, watering the garden, planting flowers or trees and cleaning toilets.

ii Taking and delivering files and other documents to the officersresponsible and returning them to the relevant areas.

Distributing office correspondence as directed.

iv. Preparing tea and cleaning office equipment.

V. Sending and receiving mail.

vi Placing and storing office equipment in appropriate places.

vi. Opening office doors and windows during the morning and evening and closing them after working hours.

vi. Typing letters or publications on typing machines.

ix. Preparing and reporting damaged equipment.

X. Performing other duties related to his/her cadre as may be directed by the work supervisor.

4.0 CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT OFFICER (POSITION 03)

4.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be Form IV (IV) or VI (VI) graduates with a Diploma in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Customer Service Management, Business Administration majoring in Marketing, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Communications, Journalism, Mass Communications or other fields
related to those from a college/colleges recognized by the government.

4.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving and responding to customer queries, questions and requests before, during and
after receiving services with the aim of ensuring their satisfaction and their needs are resolved.

Participating in handling and resolving customer complaints.

iii Participating in providing information required by customers.

Answering calls and various customer queries.

V Receiving and submitting customer complaints to relevant officers or experts for appropriate action.

vi. Maintaining records of communications and transactions involving customers.

vi. Participating in educating customers about the services provided byand Songwe Regional Referral Hospital (Songwe RRH).

viii. Performing other duties related to his/her cadre as may be as directed by the work supervisor.

5.0ASSISTANT SUPPLY OFFICER GRADE II (POSITION 01)

5.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Applicants must have completed Form IV or VI with a Diploma in Procurement/Supply or a Business with a strong background in Procurement and Supply from a Government recognized College/College, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB), Each applicant must be registered with the PSPTB as a “Procurement and Supplies Technicians (PST)” or “Procurement and Supplies Full Technician”.

5.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining and organizing the equipment in the warehouse in a clean and safe condition.

Receiving new equipment to be brought by various suppliers and receiving equipment that has been used but needs to be maintained before being scrapped.

Opening and maintain a “Bin Card” for each equipment in the warehouse.

iv. Open a “Ledger” which will keep a record of equipment entering, being maintained and being issued with various documents.

V Provide equipment to customers and other users.

vi Ensure that the warehouse and the equipment in it are maintained in a clean and safe condition.

vi Prepare documents for receiving equipment.

vi. Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS.

All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.

Each applicant must attach a “Curriculum Vitae” with correct address, correct telephone numbers, as well as two names of guarantors (Government servants) and their available telephone numbers.

iii Letters from two guarantors with correct addresses and telephone numbers.

iV Have relevant Academic certificates, Testimonial “provisional results” “statement of results”, form four results NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by TCU or NACTE

vi. Applicants should attach copies of the following certificates certified by Actors:

1. Birth Certificate.

2. Form Four Certificate of Completion.

3. Form Six Certificate of Completion for graduates.

4. Academic Certificate.

5. Passport Photo 1.

6. Licenses from relevant councils.

Each applicant should attach a copy of their NIDA ID card or NIDA number.

Submission of forged information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
