1: MANAGER IFRS AND ISLAMIC FINANCE REPORTING Number of openings 1
Job Purpose
The Manager is responsible for Preparing the Bank’s and Group’s audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS accounting standards ,IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 disclosure requirements and BOT  and DSE guidelines on sustainability and climate requirements.
Principle Responsibilities
- Preparing the Bank’s and Group’s audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS accounting standards ,IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 disclosure requirements and BOT guidelines on sustainability and climate requirements.
- Leading the preparation of climate-related financial disclosures in accordance with IFRS S1, IFRS S2, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating the collection, validation, consolidation, and reporting of climate-related, sustainability, and Sharia-compliant financial data across the Bank to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of climate and sustainability disclosures through robust governance processes, data validation procedures, and effective internal controls.
- Maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation, audit trails, and evidence files to facilitate internal and external assurance reviews.
- Monitoring developments in sustainability reporting standards, climate-related regulations, Islamic accounting standards, and other emerging disclosure requirements, assessing their impact on the Bank’s reporting obligations.
- Coordinating the measurement, calculation, and reporting of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, while supporting financed emissions assessments in line with the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) methodology.
- Reviewing emissions calculation methodologies, data quality, assumptions, and reporting processes to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices.
- Developing and enhancing climate data management processes, reporting controls, databases, and performance metrics to strengthen data integrity and reporting effectiveness.
- Coordinating the identification, assessment, and disclosure of climate-related risks and opportunities affecting the Bank’s operations, lending activities, and investment portfolios
- Supporting climate scenario analysis, stress testing exercises, and risk assessments in collaboration with the Risk and compliance Management function, in line with IFRS S2 requirements.
- Assessing the financial implications of physical and transition climate risks and preparing related reports and disclosures in accordance with ISSB standards.
- Managing Islamic accounting and Sharia-compliant financial reporting requirements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory expectations, and governance frameworks.
- Supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal control frameworks for sustainability reporting, climate disclosures, and Islamic financial reporting.
- Liaising with external auditors, regulators, rating agencies, and internal stakeholders on matters relating to IFRS S1, IFRS S2, climate disclosures, sustainability reporting, and Islamic accounting.
- Providing technical guidance and capacity building to the Finance team on sustainability reporting, climate-related disclosures, and Sharia-compliant financial reporting requirements.
- Contributing to the preparation of accurate, timely, and high-quality management, regulatory, financial, sustainability, and climate-related report.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting or finance certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, analysis, or related finance functions.
- Knowledge of and experience with sustainability and financial reporting frameworks, including GRI, IFRS Sustainability Standards, PCAF, and NGFS, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles, including understanding of IFRS S1 and S2 Accounting standard.
- Understanding of ESG, sustainability, and non-financial metrics, with knowledge on PCAF methodology.
- Proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar), with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with a high level of integrity and accountability.

2: SENIOR SPECIALIST FINANCIAL REPORTING Number of openings 1
Job Purpose
Ensure that Bank financial reports are prepared in accordance with all financial standards, i.e International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Regulators guidelines/regulations, Bank policies, and other bank procedures.
Principle Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely closure of financial records.
- Support the Preparation of the Bank’s and Group’s audited financial statements in full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal reporting policies.
- Coordination of internal and external audit activities, including timely provision of documentation, responses to audit queries, follow-up on audit recommendations, and resolution of audit findings.
- Support in the preparation of Quarterly Board and Management performance reports, including analysis of actual results against budget, forecasts, and prior-period performance for both the Bank and the Group.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 requirements, including maintenance of lease schedules, calculation of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets, and preparation of related disclosures.
- Ensuring proper amortization, recognition, and deferral of loan facility fees and transaction costs in accordance with IFRS 9 requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 requirements relating to effective interest rate (EIR) calculations, interest income recognition, and accounting treatment of financial assets and liabilities.
- Management of non-earning assets and monthly, quarterly, and annual computation of Expected Credit Losses (ECL), including validation of assumptions, reconciliation of outputs, and posting of accounting entries in the core banking and general ledger systems.
- Preparation and posting of month-end and year-end journals, accruals, provisions, adjustments, and reclassification entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Liaising with business units, subsidiaries, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate capture of Group financial information and timely resolution of reporting issues.
- Ensuring completeness and accuracy of IFRS disclosures, notes to the financial statements, and supporting schedules.
- Assisting in the review of accounting manual.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, with strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS Accounting Standards.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles, including report preparation and Trial Balance preparation.
- Knowledge of various accounting standards, including GAAPs and IFRS, as well as financial policies and procedures of the Banking Industry.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, while being self-motivated and a good team player.
