1: INVENTORY SPECIALIST
Department: Mine Administration
Reports to: Mine Administration Manager
Roster: 42 Days ON, 21 Days OFF (6/3) Weeks.
ROLE PURPOSE
To manage and optimise consumables and spare-parts inventory to ensure the timely and reliable supply of materials required for mining operations. The role will maintain appropriate inventory levels based
on usage, availability and criticality while supporting cost reduction, service-level performance and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage inventory levels, replenishment and re-order requirements to ensure adequate availability of critical, insurance and fast-moving materials while minimising redundant and excess stock.
Plan and control stock counts, investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, process approved stock adjustments, and manage
Vendor Managed Inventory reconciliations and purchase requisitions.
Maintain accurate inventory master data and stock classifications in Syspro, review new stock introduction requests, monitor historical stock movements and manage obsolete, redundant and excess inventory.
Coordinate with Heads of Department and end users on Materials
Requirements Planning (MRP), stock requirements and equipment changes, and participate in Underground and Process Plant production meetings to address inventory requirements and queries.
Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports and provide inventory information and analysis to support operational and stock-management decisions.
Supervise, train and develop inventory personnel, manage available manpower effectively, and ensure inventory activities comply with Company safety, health, environmental, asset-protection and
operational requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Procurement & Supplies, Engineering or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar inventory management or control role.
Previous experience in the mining or construction industry will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated understanding of stores management, procurement, inventory management systems, finance and related processes.
Sound knowledge of material movement systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Experience using Syspro or similar ERP/inventory management system will be an added advantage.

2. SAFETY AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE OFFICER
Department: Safety and Environment
Reports to: Senior Safety Officer
Roster: 42 Days ON, 21 Days OFF (6/3) Weeks.
ROLE PURPOSE
To manage safety, enforce safety procedures and effectively respond to emergencies to ensure the safety of personnel, minimise damage to property and manage critical situations in Surface and Underground mining environments, industrial facilities, corporate settings or large public events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote a strong safety culture through training, inspections and enforcement of safety procedures and standards.
Identify hazards, assess risks and ensure compliance with safe operating procedures, company policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
Investigate accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, implement corrective actions and maintain accurate records and reporting.
Develop, implement and maintain emergency management plans, emergency response procedures and duty cards.
Ensure the readiness and maintenance of emergency equipment and resources and lead planned evacuation drills, exercises and debriefs.
Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts during incidents and ensure the safety of employees, visitors and property.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Secondary Level Education (Form IV/VI).
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Certificate III in Mine Rescue.
NOSCH 1 & NOSCH 2.
Level 3 First Aid and CPR.
Fire safety and specific emergency response trainings/certifications.
Three (3) years’ experience as an S & ERO in the mining industry or other related sectors.
Good written and verbal Swahili and English language skills.
Valid driver’s licence with experience in operating Light Vehicle/Fast
Attack and Fire Tender.
Strong knowledge of safety and emergency response management systems, risk assessment and incident management.
Sound leadership, decision-making and communication skills.
Physically fit and able to respond quickly to emergencies.
Ability to work independently and perform manual tasks to high standards.
