14 Vacancies at Chunya District Council September 2026,The Executive Director of Chunya District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for six (14) vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown:-
1: OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II
Duties and Responsibilities
Type letters, reports and documents of routine and confidential nature;
Receive visitors and listen to their problems and direct them where they can be helped;
Maintain records of events, appointments, dates of meetings, trips of the Head and other work schedules;
Search for files and documents required in the implementation of work duties;
Receive files and distribute to Officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;
Collect, maintain and return files and documents to the relevant departments;
Organize notes and make preparations for various meetings;
Prepare a list of office equipment requirements; naix.To perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Qualifications
Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies will be recruited.
In addition, they should have passed the Kiswahili and English Typing test 80 words per minute (80.w.p.m) and received training in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Powepoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.
2: DRIVER II (DRIVER II)
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety condition of the vehicle;
Sending employees to various locations on business trips;
Carrying out minor vehicle repairs;
Filling in and maintaining all trip information in the trip log;
Collecting and distributing various documents; and
Car cleaning;
Qualifications
Employees must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license that they have worked on for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualify them to obtain the relevant classes.
They must have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and between 18 and 45 years of age.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate their disability on the
Application Form for notification to the Public Service Employment Secretariat;
iii. All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a valid address, contact telephone numbers and e-mail address along with the names of three reliable referees;
iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter a different cadre than their current one, should forward their application letters to their employers and their employers must be satisfied;
v. All applications must be accompanied by educational and professional certificates certified by a lawyer/attorney, which are Form IV or VI certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of completion of various courses based on the qualifications of the relevant job.
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates – Form IV and VI examination certificate – Computer Certificate, – Professional Certificate from Respective Boards “Testimonial” “Provisioinal Result”, “Statement of result”, Form IV and Form VI results slips (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii. Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates are verified and certified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
viii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.
ix. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in Document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
x. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
