New Vacancies at Sekretarieti ya Ajira (PSRS) September 2026, The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of the Director of Human Resources Administration and Management of the President’s Office, Public Service Employment Secretariat, invites applications for transfer positions from Tanzanians within the Public Service with qualifications and ability to fill five (5) transfer positions as outlined below:

1.0 HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER – 5 POSITIONS

1.1 JOB CENTERS – ZONAL OFFICES OF THE EMPLOYMENT SECRETARIAT

1.1.1 Northern Zone – 1 position

1.1.2 Southern Zone – 1 position

1.1.3 Western Zone – 1 position

1.1.4 Southern Highlands Zone – 1 position

1.1.5 Lake Zone – 1 position

1.2 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Monitor and supervise compliance with labor laws, Public Service Standing Orders, Staff Regulations and Procedures, as well as various instructions, guidelines and documents on service issues;

ii. Maintain staff records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines;

iii. Participate in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the annual budget of the Zone;

iv. Perform staff management duties, coordinate and organize meetings;

v. Handle and manage disciplinary issues in accordance with established Laws, Regulations and Procedures;

vi. Assist in estimating and planning PSRS human resource needs;

vii. Participate in the analysis of training needs and the preparation of the Human Resources Development and Training (HRDT) Budget Plan;

viii. Prepare draft documents, instructions, announcements and other documents relating to staff issues;

ix. Supervise the implementation of the Performance Evaluation and Measurement System (PEPMIS); and

x. Perform other duties related to his/her duties as assigned by the supervisor;

1.3 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields; Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Planning and Management, or related fields from institutions recognized by the Government, with not less than seven (7) years of work experience in Human Resource Management.

In addition, the applicant must have taken and passed the Human Resource Officer’s Proficiency Examination (PHR).

Similarly, the applicant must be a Public Servant who has worked for the current Employer for a period of not less than three years and be willing to cover the costs of relocation.

1.4 SALARY LEVEL

You will adhere to the salary levels specified in the Institution’s Service Development Structure.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens who are Public Servants;

ii. The applicant must be a Public Servant who has reached the Senior level;

iv. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney;

v. Applicants should attach a detailed CV with reliable addresses and telephone numbers and the names of three reliable referees;

vi. All applications should be accompanied by professional certificates, descriptions, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificates, Form Four, Form Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates of completion of various courses based on the qualifications of the relevant job;

– Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.

– Form IV and VI examination certificate

– Computer Certificate and

– Human Resource Officer’s Proficiency Examination – PHR Certificate.

vii. “Testmonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form IV and VI results slips (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED;

viii. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET);

ix. Those who submit false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action;

x. The deadline for submitting applications is September 14, 2026.
