Vacancies at St. Walburg’s Nyangao Referral Hospital September 2026, The Hospital Governing Committee of St. Walburg’s Nyangao Referral Hospital (SWNRH) is composed of independent members who provide oversight, strategic direction, and governance to ensure effective hospital performance and accountability.
The Committee is chaired by Mr. Peter Maziku Maduki, Director of the Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC), and the Secretary is Dr. Masanja Erasto Kasoga, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, who also serves as the Doctor In-Charge of the hospital.
St. Walburga Nyangao Referral Hospital in the Lindi Catholic Diocese and the Mtama-Lindi District Council announces the following job openings;
1.0 Medical Officer II – Position 3
1.1 QUALIFICATIONS
Holders of a Medical Degree from a recognized university who have completed an internship of not less than twelve months and are registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council
1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· To perform all medical duties in the Hospital related to various diseases including pediatrics, obstetrics and emergency surgery.
· To provide and manage health education as well as improve community health in the District and Region or its area of work.
· To investigate, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks.
· To maintain statistics and use them as directed in the principles of MTUHA
· To plan and evaluate health services in its area of work.
· Supervise and direct subordinate staff.
· Teach students in health colleges located in the work area.
· Design and conduct research and disseminate results
· Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in his field and prepare plans and budget estimates for health services.
· Provide outreach services in his District/Region
· Perform other tasks assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
· Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens.
· Be between 25-35 years of age
