NACTVET Matokeo ya Uhakiki wa Wanafunzi March Intake 2026, The National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) is a corporate body established pursuant to NACTVET Act, Cap. 129, to coordinate and regulate the provision of technical and vocational education and training.

The Council regulates an efficient national qualifications system that will ensure that products from technical and vocational institutions are of high quality and respond to changing needs as well as technological innovations in the world.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training in this context is defined as “Education and training undertaken by students to equip them to play roles requiring higher levels of skills, knowledge and understanding and in which they take responsibility for their areas of specialization”. NACTVET is thus, a multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral body empowered to oversee and coordinate the provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Tanzania.

To oversee the provision of quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training, through registration and accreditation of tertiary non-university institutions, and vocational training centres; and advising the Government on development of quality technical and vocational education and training for the benefit of Tanzanians.
The Council hereby informs the public that the results of the screening of applicants selected to join the March 2026 Semester at the Degree and Diploma levels have been officially announced today, March 31, 2026. A total of 8,911 applicants, of whom 5,028 (56.4%) were females and 3,883 (43.6%) were males, were presented for screening from institutions that met the admission criteria in the March 2026 intake. Of the 8,713 applicants (97.8%), 4,935 females and 3,778 males were qualified to join the programmes they applied for.
In addition, 198 applicants (2.2%) were not qualified for the programmes they applied for. All applicants who applied for admission to various programs can check their verification information using the code sent to their mobile number by clicking on the “Check Verification Status for the March 2026 Semester” or “Monthly Verification for March, 2026” button on the Council’s website www.nactvet.go.tz. The Council urges every applicant who is qualified for admission to keep the code used as it will be used for admission once they arrive at the college.
The Council directs colleges to register qualified students who will arrive at the colleges for commencement of studies on April 27, 2026, using the codes sent by the Council to the applicants’ numbers. Appropriate action will be taken against colleges that violate the admission procedures.
In addition, colleges have been given the opportunity to correct and submit applicant information that was incorrect from April 20 – 26, 2026.
