1: Job Title: School Counsellor Number of Posts: 1 Post

Position Summary:

The School Counsellor provides emotional, social, behavioral, and academic support to students, ensuring their well-being, safety, and holistic development.

The Counsellor delivers counselling services, identifies students at risk, and collaborates with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.

The Counsellor ensures quality guidance, documentation, and alignment with school programs such as life skills, discipline, safeguarding, and academic support.

Emotional and Social Development Programs

Behavioral Support and Conflict Resolution

Academic Guidance and Student Development

Safeguarding, Child Protection and Crisis Intervention

Qualifications and Requirements:

i. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Education, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).

ii. Formal training in counselling and relevant professional certification, where applicable.

iii. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working with children or adolescents in a school or similar setting.

iv. Age: preferably 35–40 years.

v. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

vi. Excellent command of spoken and written English.

vii. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.

viii. Capacity to provide emotional, behavioral, and academic support to students.

ix. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school administration.

2: Job Title: Caretaker Number of Posts: 1 Post

Position Summary:

The Caretaker is mainly responsible for the care and well-being of students with physical disabilities, including spina bifida. These students are in wheelchairs.

The Caretaker is expected to be committed to caring for these students with love and compassion. Currently, the school has four (4) students with physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist students in the morning before class and after class.

Bath students before and after class.

Assist with toileting (helping with bowel movements).

Perform catheterization as required.

Help students with washing their clothes.

Assist students in making their beds daily.

Assist children in dressing and putting on diapers.

Support students during self-study time, e.g., reading storybooks.

Offer health and mental counseling.

Guide students through their daily exercises.

Assist with any other need that may arise and that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A diploma in Nursing or Clinical Officer.

Professional experience (at least 3 years), including experience working with people with disabilities.

Understanding of the needs of people with disabilities.

Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Female aged between 35 and 40 years.
