13 Vacancies at Wanging’ombe District Council September 2026, The Executive Director of Wanging’ombe District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to fill the 13 approved job vacancies after receiving approval from the Permanent Secretary, Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance with the following breakdown;
1.1 OFFICE EXECUTIVE scribe, GRADE II – 5 POSITIONS
1.1.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Typing letters, reports and regular and confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors and asking about their problems, and directing them to where they can be addressed.
iii. Maintaining information and records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, the head’s travel and other work schedules.
iv. Searching for files and documents required in the implementation of job duties.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section.
vi. Collect, maintain and return files and documents to the relevant departments.
vii. Organize extracts and make preparations for various meetings, and
viii. Prepare a list of office equipment requirements.
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with a Form Four or Six education with a Diploma in Literature or NTA LEVEL 6 Literature certificate.
In addition, they should have passed the Hatimkato subject in Swahili and English 100 words per minute and have access to office computer programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any university recognized by the Government.
1.1.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS C
1.2 DRIVER CLASS II – POSITION 7
1.2.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Inspect the vehicle before and after the trip to determine the safety status of the vehicle.
ii. Send employees to various locations on business trips.
iii. Carrying out minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents.
v. Filling in and maintaining all trip information in the trip log book.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing other duties as directed by his/her Supervisor.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with Form Four (IV) or Six (VI) Education and a Class E or C Driving License, which he/she has worked for not less than one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes.
He/she must also have attended the Basic Driving Course provided by the VETA College or another College recognized by the Government.
1.2.3 SALARY LEVEL TGS B
1.3 DECKHAND AUXILLIARIES – POSITION 1
1.3.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Checking the safety of fishing boats.
ii. Cleaning the Boat
iii. Maintaining the cleanliness of fishing gear and fish storage containers
iv. Carrying out minor repairs to fishing gear, and
v. Carrying out other duties of his/her profession as assigned by his/her supervisor.
1.3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed with Form IV Education and a Certificate in Fisheries Technology from the Fisheries Education and Training Agency (FETA) or a Certificate in Ship Management from the Dar es Salaam Maritime Academy – DMI or an equivalent qualification from other institutions recognized by the Government.
1.3.3 SALARY LEVEL TGOS A
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and between the ages of 18 and 45.

Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, – Certificate of Form IV and VI examination, – Computer Certificate, – Professional Certificate from Respective Boards;
vi. “Testmonial“, ‘‘Provisional Results“, “Statement of results“, Form IV and Form VI RESULTS SLIPS (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii. Applicants for Driver II cadre with Class E or C licenses should ATTACH Driver training certificates that qualified them to obtain the relevant classes
viii. Applicants who studied abroad should ensure that their certificates have been verified and verified by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
ix. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Principal Secretary.
x. Applicants who are already employedin the entry positions of those in the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions contained in Document No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
xi. Submission of false information and qualifications will be subject to legal action.
