8 Job Vacancies at Kilombero Sugar Company June 2026, KSCL is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, Africa’s biggest sugar producer with extensive agricultural and manufacturing operations in six African countries; including South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zambia and Tanzania. Illovo Sugar Africa is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF), listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Located at Kidatu within Kilombero Valley, the Company operates two agricultural estates and sugar mills; Msolwa and Ruembe located in the Districts of Kilombero and Kilosa respectively and separated by the Great Ruaha River, within Morogoro Region.
KSCL has the largest crop estate in Tanzania covering 26,000 hectares; 10,000 ha belonging to KSCL and approximately 16,000 ha from the small holder farmers – Kilombero Growers. The company currently produces 126,000 tons of sugar per annum.
The company’s supply chain includes approximately 8,000 grower farmers supplying about 600,000 tonnes of cane every year. 45% of the sugarcane crushed by KSCL is supplied by independent farmers; the remaining 55% comes from the company’s own land. Over 200 businesses have been registered in the Kilombero valley as a result of this supply chain.
1: Planning Clerk
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will manage, distribute and close section work orders and ensure that all operations in assigned area are carried out as per the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards.

Qualifications
· Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· At least 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or planning (industrial environment preferred).
· Basic understanding of electrical maintenance activities and equipment.
· Knowledge of maintenance planning systems (e.g., SAP or CMMS) is an added advantage.
2: Production Team Lead
Job Profile:
The successful candidate will be responsible to provide direction, technical guidance and leadership in production to ensure the highest quality products, also optimize production performance, by holding teams accountable to achieve the highest standards of efficiencies and quality, maximizing throughput and sugar recovery at lowest cost.
Qualification & Experience:
· BSc Degree in Chemical and processing engineering or equivalent
· 5+ years in heavy Manufacturing (production and/or maintenance), with at least 2 years in sugar production
· Good business acumen and manufacturing expertise, with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on functional area
· Strong track record in management and leadership
3: Treasury Manager
Role Purpose
The Treasury Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding and optimising the Company’s financial resources through disciplined management of liquidity, funding, and financial risk.
The role is responsible for:
- Ensuring robust treasury governance and compliance
- Driving cash flow efficiency and working capital optimisation
- Managing market risks (FX, interest rate, counterparty exposure)
- Supporting strategic decision-making and capital efficiency
As a key finance partner, the Treasury Manager contributes directly to improved free cash flow, funding optimisation, and sustainable value creation, while maintaining alignment with Group Treasury policies and frameworks
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA)
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in finance, with at least 3 years in treasury or banking
Proven track record in:
Liquidity and cash flow management
FX risk management and hedging
Financial instruments and treasury
Advantageous Experience
IFRS 9 hedge accounting
Exposure to SAP ERP

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation, supporting the organization’s goals.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
Full Technician Certificate in Mechanical (essential technical skills in maintenance, repair, and installation)
2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation preferably sugar manufacturing industries.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle machinery safely and perform manual tasks.
5: Maintenance Foreman- Back end
Job Purpose:Â
The successful candidate will be responsible to Plan and supervise the daily work and performance of each employee on assigned shift, organize schedules, and assign work activity to achieve team and company objectives safely
Job Requirements:
Preferred qualification: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related
3+ years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance preferably sugar or mining machines
Extensive experience using planned maintenance systems, especially SAP
Able to work methodically and systematically in a Sugar Mill environment
Ability to multitask
6: Instrumentation Technician.
Job purposeÂ
The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain, repair, install and calibrate all instrumentation equipment, electronic and electro–pneumatic instruments and weighing devices to required standards and accuracy.
Minimum Job Requirements:Â
Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electrical / NTA level 6 in Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized Institution.
Full Technician Certificate in instrumentation or electronics.
2+ years in maintenance of Instrumentation in a chemical manufacturing facility, preferably a Distillery.
Basic computer literacy with various control software.
Basic Distillery knowledge.

7: Senior Maintenance Worker-Fitter
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance equipment and trouble shooting at K2 Factory
 JOB QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
At least form IV certificate accompanied/vocational training, fitter mechanics trade test grade 1 and above.
Extensive knowledge in electrical machinery, running behaviors, safety and lock out procedures.
2+ years’ experience working in mechanical jobs in manufacturing industry.
Mentally and physically fit.
Ready to work abnormal hours should the job require it.
Attention to details.
8: Health & Safety Officer
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will support the site functional area to effectively implement, comply with and
monitor Health & Safety standards and processes, through coaching, guidance and communication with all relevant stakeholders, implementing safety performance and related standards systems process, and
applicable legislative or regulatory requirements and promote safety culture and awareness.
Job Qualification and Experience
 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Safety / Risk Management or equivalent
SAMTRAC / NEBOSH qualification; ISO 9000 / 22 000 Lead Auditor qualification an advantage
2-3 years’ experience in an operational environment (Factory / Agriculture), working in a health and safety role.
Training in First Aid and Fire Prevention is an added advantage
Knowledge of relevant Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
