63 Job Vacancies at Ministry of Health July 2026, The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of the Ministry of Health invites applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill 63 one (1) year contract positions as specified in this advertisement;
1.0 MEDICAL OFFICER II – Position 23
1.1 JOB DUTIES
i. To perform all medical work in hospitals related to various diseases in the relevant fields including pediatrics, obstetrics and general and emergency surgery.
ii. To provide and manage health education as well as improve community health in the districts and regions or work area.
iii. To maintain statistics and use them as reflected in the systems.
iv. To investigate, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks.
v. To prepare for the continuing education of health workers.
vi. To supervise and direct subordinate staff.
vii. Design, conduct and evaluate research and disseminate results
viii.Design and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in his field.
ix. Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services
x. Participate, review and improve health services (Medical audit and quality improvement)
xiv. Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services
xv. Perform other tasks assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Graduates with a Doctorate degree from universities recognized by the Government will be employed. They must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

2.0 ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II – 40 Positions
2.1 JOB DUTIES
i. Provide nursing services
ii. Collect vital health data.
iii. Direct subordinate nurses
iv. Educate patients and the community about their health problems
v. Provide preventive and reproductive services
vi. Perform other duties assigned by the head of the department related to his/her education, experience and skills
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Employment of graduates with a Diploma in Nursing, from a recognized institution, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
2.3 SALARY LEVEL TGHS B (MOH)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not exceed 45 years of age. However, for positions within the Military Institutions:
Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.
2. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should describe their disability in the application form for the Public Service Employment Secretariat.
3. All applicants should attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Solicitor.

7. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). For applicants for cadres requiring ‘GPA’ who studied outside Tanzania, they should attach a ‘GPA’ calculation certificate from TCU.
8. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the approval of the Principal Secretary.
